Hye Rim Park

In fashion, one learns to expect the unexpected. Runway queen Daria Werbowy got the flu and quit her three-city tour halfway through. Carmen Kass, who abandoned fashion for politics, abandoned politics for fashion (for this season anyway), and blast from the past Tasha Tilberg popped up at a show or two. Kim Noorda, Marina Peres, Anja Rubik, and Vlada Roslyakova continued to climb toward supermodeldom, while sophisticated Dutch newcomer Doutzen Kroes and Midwesterner Hye Park hit the ground running.

Hye Park of Illinois transitioned from prairie to Prada without batting an eyelash. Look for the Korean-American everywhere come fall.
