Pulse Mgmt's Supermodels on Fox TV May 5th "Check Your Pulse"

SALT LAKE CITY - High fashion modeling agencies are traveling to Utah to find fresh new faces. "We have 14 covers of Vogue, all from Utah. We manage three of the top 20 girls in the entire world that we found literally on the street of Utah," Stacey Eastman said. Insiders say that Utah culture creates the cutting edge. "What it comes back to is how kids are raised here. They're unique. There's something in their eye. They have morals and standard that you don't see other places and that's huge," Eastman said.

Experts warn hopefuls to watch out for photographers and self-proclaimed talent agents making false promises. A few models suggest having a manager to help weed out those trying to exploit them. Industry professionals advise young men and women to find out how long an agency has been in business, ask other talent in the agency about their experiences and to know what kind of work the agency focuses on. "There's somebody out there thinking of, you know, the newest greatest idea or scam. And the bottom line is, in this business, knowledge is power," Eastman said.
