Olivia in NYC

Oh Olivia, New York City agrees with you! We are loving these black and white images from your test shoot with Richard Guaty.  Olivia Hamilton, one of our models from Colorado has been in New York City recently and we knew she would do amazingly out there.  New York City is one of the hardest markets to work in for a model, but Olivia is handling it like a pro.  It definitely helps that she has worked in Asia extensively, so by the time she got to NYC she had a lot of experience in front of the camera.  That was our plan for her (as her management), and we are thrilled to see it working out so well!  We love you Olivia, and keep up the good work!

Pulse Mgmt Throwback Thursday: Guess Who?

Hey everyone, it's Thursday again, meaning it is time for another Pulse Management TBT! In the future if you want to see just the throwback picture first, check it out on our instagram, and then come here to the blog to see the answer.  Our TBT for this week is one of our most successful models, Hannah Holman.  We discovered Hannah at a mall only a few years after this picture was taken and the rest is modeling history.  To see more of what Hannah has accomplished since we launched her modeling career, click here.

If any of our models would like to be a TBT, please email your childhood picture to lisa@pulsemgmt.com.

Natalie Keyser for SPOON MAGAZINE

Natalie Keyser is perfectly, hauntingly scary in the above video and accompanying editorial for Spoon Magazine. Natalie said that this shoot was one of her favorites in her 10 year modeling career. Pulse Management President, Stacey Eastman, also loves this shoot.  He has an affinity for vampires ever since he took a tour of the Parisian Catacombs with a few of our top models working in Paris.  We can't believe the transformation of Natalie in these pictures.  If we didn't know her better, we would be genuinely scared that she had transformed into a real vampire, because this styling is that believable. We keep saying that Natalie is at the top of her game, and these pictures and video are just further proof of that.

In Their Own Words: Charlee and Mari Lou Pilon

A lot of people who visit this blog are potential models and their parents.  This post is especially for you.  We know that the modeling industry is an intimidating one to enter, and we thought it would be helpful hearing from one of our models and her mom, in their own words about their involvement with Pulse Management. Charlee and Mari Lou, thank you for your kind words, we love and appreciate you both!

Hi Stacey!

As you know, I'm currently working, and living in New York City all thanks to you & pulse management! Scouted my freshman year of high school at a track meet never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I would ever have a chance to model and travel the world! It's been a whirlwind and something I never thought was possible, but I feel so blessed & grateful for all that you, your family, & pulse management have done for me. Being so involved in my school & sports I decided it would be best for me to have a normal high school experience, & opted out on going home schooled to start my modeling career sooner. For me, personally, it was just the best decision, and I really appreciate how you and pulse respected my decision, but also never gave up on me and waited until I was ready to take on the fashion world. You've been nothing but helpful & accommodating to me & my family through this whole process. I know when I need advice, help, or just someone in my corner you're always there & I'm extremely grateful for that. I feel like there's a lot of negativity in the media about modeling or the fashion industry in general, but I can honestly say my experience has been nothing but positive. I've gotten to travel to places I never dreamed I'd have the chance of going to, experience stuff teenage girls dream of, & meet so many new friends & form new relationships. All of pulse's partner agencies have treated me with nothing but respect and truly care about my career, and me personally as well. I'm extremely grateful for you, pulse & everything you & partner agencies have done for me & family. God bless & see you soon!
-Charlee Pilon

Hi Stacey,
Just wanted to say thank you for all you have done for Charlee. As you know she is in New York now working and having the experience of her life! The other Pulse girls, some of her roommates, have become her good friends and she is meeting girls from all over the world. We know we could never do this without you as her manager. You have been there from the beginning to make sure that every experience Charlee has is positive. She knows that you have her back always! She can call you anytime with anything!! As a mom it is important to know that Charlee is being taken care of 5,000 miles away from home! We are so grateful for you! We appreciate that you waited for Charlee to graduate from high school and now she is giving her all to modeling! Thank you for being patient and even supportive of all of her high school athletics. She knows that you care about her as a whole person!! I could not be the mom of a model without you! Thank you for everything!!

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Hannah Holman for Marc Jacobs

For today's Major Moment Monday, we are going back 4 years to the S/S 2010 Marc by Marc Jacobs ad campaign starring none other than Pulse Management discovery, Hannah Holman.  You fashion lovers out there will remember this collection of Marc's with the oversized hair accessories (Madonna wore one to the Met Ball).  This was an exciting time in Hannah's career because after a few years of waiting, and of us hearing she was too short to ever book a high fashion job, our perseverance paid off and Hannah was suddenly all over the fashion scene.  Marc Jacobs loved Hannah, and decided to use her as the model for the launch of his Daisy perfume in 2011.  In the fashion world, once Marc Jacobs gives his seal of approval, you are pretty much golden.  Soon Hannah was walking runways for Karl Lagerfeld (Chanel), modeling for Miu Miu and she was the first campaign model ever for Alexander Wang.  Not too bad for a girl from Delta, Utah, who people told us would never work!
