HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween today!  We think the our model Natalie Keyser still holds the crown for the scariest shoot that we posted about here.  We wonder if anyone will ever be able to top the scary images from her shoot for Spoon Magazine, and don't get me started on the video that accompanies the editorial.  I am definitely a wimp when it comes to all things scary, but I don't think I'm the only one that is more than a little spooked!

Hazel and Georgia for Open Lab Magazine

Hopefully you saw our post yesterday about Hazel Eakman and Georgia Weeks being sketched for Badly Drawn Models.  Today we are showing you the editorial that they were in for Open Lab Magazine, that inspired the sketches.

The editorial is titled "Tomorrow's People", which we think is fitting because the entire group photographed are some of the more promising new faces we've seen in awhile, especially Georgia and Hazel. Annelise Phillips photographed the editorial, and we can see why she has also been published in Vogue Paris.

The only thing better than having one of our models in a great editorial, is having two of them in it!  great work Georgia and Hazel!

Badly Drawn Models

Georgia Weeks and Hazel Graye Eakman

Are you all familiar with Badly Drawn Models? Lisbon-based artist, Sean Ryan, has become a pop-culture phenomenon by posting his sketches of models, designers, and other celebrities online.  Some of his most popular subjects include Cara Delevingne, Coco Rocha, Karlie Kloss, Jourdan Dunn, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge, Candice Swanepoel and the list goes on and on. Basically its now come to the point that being one of his drawings is a sign that you've "made it" in the modeling world. These drawing have been getting a lot of press lately, most notably in the Huffington Post, Elle Magazine, Refinery 29, i-D Magazine and Buzz Feed.

In a collaboration with an editorial in the latest issue of Open Lab Magazine, two of our models got side-by-side sketches by Sean Ryan himself!  Georgia Weeks and Hazel Eakman have now joined the club of models that have been immortalized (badly), and we think it's awesome.  Their sketches can be found on the Open Lab Instagram.

Ali Stephens, a model we discovered years ago, has also been sketched and is included on the Badly Drawn Models Instagram page.  Ali is one of the most successful models we have ever managed, and it doesn't surprise us to see her on this page.

Way to Go Sarah!

We are more than a little bit biased but we think that our models are truly exceptional people both in front of the camera and in their real lives.  Amongst our models we have athletes, scholars, artists, writers, dancers, and more.  They have so many talents that we appreciate and celebrate.

Sarah Linnabary just helped her team win the district championships, and this is especially notable because she is a 7th grader, but she plays on the 8th grade team.  We can only imagine the hours of practice that go into winning a championship like this, and we are so proud of Sarah!

She is one of our new faces, you may remember this post we did about her test shoot with Timothy Rosado.  It ended up being one of our most viewed posts of that month, so we think that you all are as big of fans of Sarah as we are!  Just in case you missed them, here are a few pictures from her shoot.

Liz Kennedy for Vogue Japan

Well if this isn't Major Moment Monday material, I don't know what is, but these pictures are too good to wait to share with you all until next Monday.  Liz Kennedy is making her mark in this editorial for Vogue Japan.  The editorial titled, "Rule the Darkness" was photographed by Masahiro Sanbe, and it was shot while Liz was in Japan last month.  These photos are beautiful just like Liz, and we are so proud of her.  It doesn't get much bigger than a Vogue editorial!

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Olivia Hamilton for Indie Magazine

We can't help but have back-to-back Olivia Hamilton Major Moment Mondays!  We think Olivia's editorial for Indie Magazine, is timelessly cool.  Though it was shot recently, if you found these pictures you wouldn't necessarily know what decade these were shot in and I think that is pretty telling about both Olivia and the photographer's talent.  Britta Burger photographed the editorial, and it is the current issue (Issue no. 48) of Indie. We can barely keep up with you lately Olivia, and that in and of itself is pretty major.
