Rachel Cook is as Gorgeous as Ever!

Rachel Cook is a model we discovered in her hometown of Seattle more than five years ago. Since we launched her career she has worked in Asia, Italy, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, and that's just scratching the surface. Rachel has booked major editorials, cosmetics campaigns, and it is very impressive (but not surprising) that she is still working now. She recently posted some behind the scenes photos from a shoot she did for PacSun and she looks as amazing as ever. With behind the scenes photos like these, I can wait to see the final images!

Olivia and Liz Take Over Disney World!

Soon our models Olivia Hamilton and Liz Kennedy are going to be in New York getting ready for fashion week, but right now they are living it up at Disney World! These two hit it off when they both were first starting their careers, and we sent them to Tokyo together. They became fast friends, and have since modeled all over the world together. They spent a summer in London, an autumn in Asia, and have been roommates in NYC. We love seeing them spending time together even when they aren't working. These two work hard, and they deserve a little downtime, and what better place that Disney World?!

Model Life: Advice from A Major Casting Director

Models.com recently ran an enlightening interview with casting director, John Pfeiffer. In the article Pfeiffer details how his career began, and what it is like casting models for some of the biggest clients in the fashion industry (Victoria's Secret and Michael Kors are two of his many clients). We like to use our blog as a way to educate our current and potential models about the modeling industry, and we think that this article will be very helpful for anyone who is wanting to be a model. A casting director can make or break a model's career, because in Pfeiffer's words:

"My job and I think the job of a casting director is that of a first set of eyes, and of an editor, because the client can’t see all those girls."

A good casting director knows what his/her clients are looking for, and they see sometimes hundreds of models to bring their clients the right model for the job. If you have time to read the entire article, I highly recommend it because it helps you realize what is going on in the head of the people on the other side of the casting tables. I especially liked the part when Pfeiffer gave the following advice to models:

"Do your research and be educated and know as much as you can about where you’re going and who you are seeing and what you’re doing."

MAJOR MOMENT MONDAY: Hannah Holman for Sonia Rykiel

Happy Major Moment Monday everyone! Today we are looking back to the Sonia by Sonia Rykiel S/S 2014 lookbook featuring Hannah Holman. Sonia Rykiel is a very respected and talented French designer, and we think that Hannah is a perfect model for these cheerful frocks. We discovered Hannah at the mall in Utah, and then launched her modeling career. Hannah has been working as a model for many years now, and hers is one of the most successful careers of any model we have discovered. We love these photos of Hannah and we are proud of everything she has accomplished, and are grateful that we were able to be the ones that started her on this life changing path.
